Designed for outdoor use, the door is manufactured from 0.8mm galvanised steel skins on a 1.4mm galvanised frame, with mineral wool insulation and four stainless steel ball-bearing hinges.
Internal wall capping is included to suit all coolroom panel thicknesses, and dual fixing options let you face-fix externally or use adjustable wind-out lugs to fix through the frame rebate.
Tested and certified to Cyclonic Region D rating per AS/NZS 1170.2:2011.
What's the difference between a shed door and a donga door?
It’s the same door. ‘Donga door’ is the term used on remote work sites, mining accommodation and prefab modular buildings. ‘Shed door’ is the more common term for personal access doors on garages, sheds and outbuildings. Both refer to this same Cyclonic Region D certified steel door, made to the same spec, supplied at the same price.
Will this fit a coolroom panel wall?
Yes. The door is supplied with internal wall capping that suits all coolroom panel thicknesses, and the frame can be face-fixed or fixed through the frame rebate using adjustable wind-out lugs.
Is it suitable for cyclonic regions?
Yes. Tested and certified to Region D rating per AS/NZS 1170.2:2011. Suitable for use anywhere in Australia, including northern WA, the Top End and Far North Queensland.
Can I use this on a modular building?
Yes. The door is widely used on modular buildings, transportable site offices, prefab dongas, ablution blocks and similar steel-framed structures. Internal wall capping is included to suit your panel thickness.
Can you buy a replacement shed door?
Yes. Latham’s sells pre-hung steel shed doors that ship as a complete door-and-frame unit, ready to face-fix or reveal-fix into your existing opening. Standard sizes are 820, 920 and 1020mm wide x 2040mm tall. If your existing opening is non-standard, we offer height reductions and frame extensions.
What is the best door option for a shed?
For most steel and Colorbond sheds, a pre-hung steel shed door (also known as a personal access door or PA door) is the best option. It’s faster to install than a custom frame, supplied with all hardware, available in matching Colorbond colours, and is compatible with both face-fix and reveal-fix installation. Avoid hollow-core internal doors for outdoor use, they aren’t weather-rated.
What sizes do shed doors come in?
Standard Australian shed doors come in three widths (820, 920 and 1020mm) and one height (2040mm), supplied pre-hung in a frame measuring approximately 890, 990 or 1090mm wide and 2095mm tall. If you need a non-standard size, frame extensions and height reductions are available.
